Having launched less than a year ago, West End Musical Choir is the UK's official adult amateur musical theatre choir based in London! We host weekly sessions learning the classic and new hits from the West End & Broadway. This is the ultimate feel-good experience learning how to sing the songs from the musicals we all love. Within a fun and social environment you have the freedom to explore your voice and build your musical repertoire.No audition, no need to read sheet music and no pressure to perform... just bring your passion for musical theatre!

CHARLIE MORRISON

Charlie is a trained musican and actress having gained a Scholarship from The Guildford School of Acting. Upon graduating she dived into the world of TV & Film through producing on some exciting sets around the world. She was most recently the Creative Director for a Sky TV Channel called FAB TV and worked with Cosmopolitan Magazine as Executive Producer on their first TV series in the UK & Ireland.

West End Musical Choir is the most exciting project Charlie has worked on to date and she cannot wait to meet you & enjoy singing with you each week!

 

 

SIMON LOCK

 

Simon is thrilled to be part of the West End Musical Choir team.  Having pursued an academic career for over a decade, he’s loving the opportunity to sing all the time again!  Musical theatre has always been a huge part of his life, as a student Simon produced, and performed in, many musical and dance productions at London’s Bloomsbury Theatre. While studying for his PhD Simon also managed several theatre box offices in London and Brighton and performed in London dance festivals as part of the contemporary dance group Gravitas.  He is currently co-writing a musical with his partner, choreographer and performer AJ O’Neill.

When you become a Member, you can join any of our 3 Choirs, so if you have to miss a Session from your primary Choir, you can join the other on the different day as we go through the same fantastic material in both!

Anthony Gabriele

 

As Music Director, Anthony has conducted South Pacific, Blood Brothers, Ken Hill’s Phantom of the Opera, A Grand Night For Singing, Chess, CATS, Grease, The Wizard of Oz, Bye Bye Birdie, The Lion King (London’s West End, Sydney, Melbourne and Shanghai) and the West End production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera.Anthony studied conducting, composition, piano and voice at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and since 1993 has amassed a prodigious variety of operatic and musical theatre credits as a Music Director, Conductor, Chorus Master, Language Coach, Vocal Coach and Accompanist.

Tom  Self

 

 

Tom is both an Actor & Musical Director currently working in London and around the UK. Most recently, Tom was both Musical Supervisor & Musical Director for Parkwood Theatres, having musically produced both Peter Pan & Cinderella, Starring Joe Swash, for them this Christmas. Prior to this, Tom has also been Musical Director for Footloose (Hazlitt Theatre) 13 (Arlington Arts Centre) Peter Pan (Playhouse Theatre) and Concerts for both the Leicester Square Theatre & Waterloo East Theatres, London.Credits as an Actor Include; A Naughty Night With Noel Coward (Old Red Lion Theatre) A talk in the Park (Hazlitt Theatre) Ivor Novello & the Great British Musical (London Hippodrome) and workshops of both Tickledom (Perfect Pitch) and the role of Jimmy Shields in ‘The Tailor Made Man’, prior to it’s run at London’s Arts Theatre. Tom is currently also running both the Vox Steady Choir (Oxford) & Hazlitt Theatre Choir (Maidstone) , and enjoying arranging, playing & creating lots of new and exciting work with both around the UK. Tom is delighted to be on board with the West End Musical Choir! .

Isaac McCullough

 

Trained at Chetham’s School of Music, Manchester and Royal College of Music, London. As Musical Director, theatre includes Zanna, Don’t (Landor Theatre) for which he was nominated for broadwayworld.com’s Best Musical Direction of a Fringe Show award; Lost Boy (Finborough / Charing Cross); From Up Here (Tristan Bates Theatre).
As Assistant/Associate Musical Director European Premiere of Dessa Rose (Trafalgar Studios); Sunset Boulevard (Yvonne Arnold Theatre, Guildford); The Adventures of Pinocchio (Greenwich Theatre); The Other School (St James Theatre & Guildford School of Acting); and Into the Woods (All Saints Church, Hove). Isaac has musically directed with many London Student groups on productions including Parade, Spring Awakening, A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Forum and All Shook Up. 

Other Credits include Assistant Musical Director for Beautiful Mornings and Enchanted Evenings: A Rodgers and Hammerstein Orchestral Gala, Masters of America (Royal College of Music). Isaac was recently the Pianist for Scott Alan’s London Masterclass at the St James Theatre. 

As well as being a Musical Director Isaac has also worked extensively as an Orchestral Bassoonist performing across the country in venues including Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Bridgewater Hall and Cadogan Hall, under conductors including John Wilson, Sir Roger Norrington and Franck Ollu.

Charlie grew up in Newport in South Wales, and also works as a Musical Director for City Academy, Baby Broadway, Vocal Tutor for Bexley College, as a freelance, rehearsal pianist, audition pianist, ballet pianist, composer, orchestrator and performer.
