2026 Covent Garden Summer Performance (off-book)

ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE:

Performance info: We are thrilled to be performing our musical repertoire in the iconic Covent Garden Square to spread musical theatre cheer to Londoners. This is an off-book (no lyric sheets or sheet music allowed) so you must have the songs memorised.

As it's going to be extremely busy in Covent Garden we need to all work together as a Team to ensure our performance runs as smoothly as possible : )

ROUGH PERFORMANCE LAYOUT AS PER THE IMAGE ABOVE

We're in our usual formation as per the image above

(Alto 1's, Alto 2's, Baritones, Tenors, Sop 2's, Sop 1's)

Therefore please keep this in mind as the Charlie's Angels help you to get into position.

PLEASE ARRIVE VOCALLY WARMED UP

There probably won't be time / space for a robust vocal warm up therefore please do your own warm up in the morning. There's lots of great vocal warm ups on Youtube.

PLEASE DON'T BRING MUCH WITH YOU

There won't be anywhere to leave belongings, other than on the floor directly in front of your feet.

NO SIGN IN WHEN YOU ARRIVE

As it will be extremely busy in Covent Garden, logistically we won't be able to sign everyone in therefore we won't have a sign in. Instead when you arrive, concentrate on being proactive in finding your vocal group.

KEEP AN EYE ON THE WEATHER FORECAST

As this is an outdoor gig, please keep an eye on the weather forecast as if it's raining, you can bring an umbrella to perform with.

Performance date: Saturday 27th June or Sunday 28th June at either 12pm or 1pm

Performance location:  Covent Garden (behind the Actors Church as per the event image)

MEETING TIME: 11:45am sharp

MEETING POINT: Outside the London Transport Museum https://what3words.com/that.overnight.goad

Important note: As to not draw attention from the act on before us (as there's a lot of us!) we will be meeting around the corner from the performance area. Then from there, walking over together to perform.

Once we have finished performing, we need to clear the performance area quickly to allow the next act to set up.

If you are late, you cannot perform.

PERFORMANCE TIME: 12:00 - 12:30pm Saturday 27th June or Sunday 28th June at either 12pm or 1pm

NOWHERE TO HOLD YOUR BELONGINGS:

There is no where to hold your belongings lovelies! Therefore please do not bring any bags or extra 'non-performance' attire. Due to the location, there will be pick pockets around therefore do not bring anything valuable.

SUMMER PERFORMANCE ATTIRE:

As we perform to a professional level, we are extremely strict about our performance attire... we need to look as good as we sound lovelies! If you turn up to a Dress Rehearsal or Performance not in your full performance attire, you cannot perform.

No exceptions lovelies!

EVERYTHING NEEDS TO BE ALL BLACK!

WE NEED TO MATCH OUR LOOK TO OUR PROFESSIONAL SOUND!

- TOP = Choir t-shirt

- BOTTOMS = Black trousers, skirts or shorts. No need to wear tights if you don't want to.

- SOCKS & SHOES = Must be all black. Please note that any colour on shoes is not allowed eg different coloured laces, patterns, base etc. Everything must be black.

Please note, as usual if you don't attend in the required performance attire, you won't be allowed to take part in a Dress Rehearsal or performance. Absolutely no exceptions lovelies!

Everything worn must be a 'true' black colour therefore no faded black or items that have coloured stitching). No part of your Choir uniform can have colour, other than the logo on your Choir t-shirt or hoodie : ) The old logo is allowed.
