Rehearse With Us In Manchester!
The Best Manchester Show Choir - West End Musical Choir
We’re proud to share that the West End Musical Choir is now rehearsing in Manchester! We are known as one of the UK’s best show choirs, having performed on ITV for This Morning, The X-Factor, and the New Years' Eve BBC live show. We also regularly perform at Disneyland Paris, where we showcase our best magical songs with Mickey and Minnie on stage with us!
Are you a Manchester Gospel Choir?
We’re not a religious or gospel choir, we’re a non-audition community-based Manchester Show Choir, specifically a musical theatre choir! We perform our favorite songs from musicals and perform for live audiences. You don’t need to be able to read music or be musically trained. Each week we rehearse with a talented west end musical director to teach us some of the best show tunes out there.
Are you a Manchester Community Choir?
We are indeed! We’re proud to be a non-audition community choir for Manchester, having built our roots across several London choir locations to perform awesome and fun musical songs from some of the most popular, and sometimes lesser known musicals!
We’re a diverse Manchester Community Choir, having weekly social events, regular theatre trips and special big-scale events. When you join, you will bring a bit of West End sparkle into your week by singing with us at our weekly rehearsals and, should you want to take it further, you can take to the stage with our performance opportunities - such as at Hampton Court Palace, the V&A Museum, backing singers for contestants on the The X Factor, the London Marathon, 'This Morning' ITV, 'Good Morning Britain' ITV, 'The One Show' BBC, RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Abbey Road Studios, West End LIVE at Trafalgar Square, Disneyland Paris, Notre Dame Paris and many more…
As our Manchester Choir is newer, we’ll also be looking for some awesome singing events and performances in Manchester.
Why is Singing in a Choir In Manchester Great For Mental Health?
There are so many benefits to singing in a choir, it’s a great way to make like-minded friends and join a friendly, welcoming community who all have musical theatre in common. Research has shown that singing has lots of benefits including improving mental health. Singing releases the ‘happy’ chemicals that boost your mood and make you feel good about yourself. Scientists believe that’s one of the reasons why people report being on a high during choir sessions and continuing to feel positive, uplifted and motivated afterwards.
Our members love to come to rehearsal, switch off from the stresses of daily life and enjoy coming together to sing, often members head to a nearby pub to the rehearsal venue to enjoy a drink and socialise together.
You can also get involved in our public performances (no pressure!) which will help improve your confidence, singing on stage infront of an audience. They’re great fun and often involve social events with other members before or after the live show performances.
